PEACH CORNER serves up Peach Melba: a design dessert composed by the artist-run exhibition venue in Frederiksberg in Copenhagen.
The exhibition features 12 invited ceramic artists who use ceramic processes in unique and diverse ways to achieve new and surprising expressions. Materiality and craftsmanship have taken on renewed significance in contemporary society as a source of tactile, referential and aesthetic qualities that many people yearn for.
Peach Melba is a collection of ceramic objects with deep sensuous qualities created in close interplay with the ceramic process: hand-modelled utilitarian objects, digitally 3D-printed porcelain, sand-cast pieces and glaze objects balancing between control and collapse.
Exhibiting artists: Anne Tophøj, Bente Skjøttgaard, Flemming Tvede Hansen, Gitte Jungersen, Hilda Piazzolla, Jeppe Søndergaard Hansen, Johannes Nagel, Lisbet Thorborg Andersen, Ole Jensen, Sisse Lee, Søren Thygesen and Turi Heisselberg Pedersen.
